Vicki!

I need to stop the photo’s right there for now, because I have to thank a young lady by the name of Vicki!

Winds at some points were in excess of 150 kilometers per hour!

Vicki not only stopped on her way out to make sure we were all ok… She insisted on heading back into town, to get us coffee! Well not only did she bring us back coffee, she also brought back a stack of pizza’s! She wouldn’t accept a thing in return… People had said this kind of thing would happen, but I never thought it would happen in the first 5 Km of my trip… After a while we all headed out. Everyone but me, were headed to the ferry… To my surprise and I must say I was very touched, Vicki was waiting at the other end of this dangerous passage on the side of the road to make sure I made it out ok!

I hope Vicki has a chance to read this and know how much I appreciated that thoughtfulness. I hope to send a letter in gratitude when I return home.
